The Lovo party from Loma Linda had incredible luck on the 9th of January on the LILIANA. Not one…..but TWO very big Wahoo, the most incredible fish to eat that is available in this area. This is every local fisherman's dream and this party had a barbecue at their resort for everyone. It's not often that a charter is able to catch Wahoo, but TWO! Congratulations, I hope that you enjoyed it as much a my family did.

This is Bob Dimond and friends Matt Sawkey and Dave Marshall with absolutely beautiful Dorado and they caught 5 in total, double hook-ups that were spectacular. This Canadian party had such great comments about the abundance of wild life that they saw while they were fishing, and felt that the experience was truly worth the charter even without fish!

Bob's group spent the day on the ever popular SOL with Captain Miguel and insisted that he be in this photo because he made the trip worthwhile. Miguel is on the far right and is living up to his reputation as being one of the very best in the Bay! Yeah Captain Miguel!

Travis Coleman, who is a guide from the east coast and a group of his buddies took the beautiful STRIKE ONE this month. Phil was nervous taking pro's on a charter and actually forgot his knapsack with his agenda, camera and cell-phone. (Way to go Phil!) Travis and the boys had a spectacular day, everyone got Dorado and although Phil was sorry that he missed the photos, he really enjoyed meeting the east-coast fishermen that were so knowledgeable and experienced and felt that he learned a great deal from them. The group vowed to return next year or maybe sooner to do another charter that will outdo the last. Great to meet you Travis!

Frank O'Neil and his group of Insurance Buddies from Spokane, Washington spent a day on the HIGH MAINTENANCE, a brand new 34' Lhurs. Frank wanted a big bill-fish to have mounted for his new home, but it was not to be. The group endured the ride to the Marina crammed into Phil's little old car, they survived that so ANYTHING that happened on the ocean would be small stuff. A nice Dorado and a few small tuna were the best that the day had to offer, Phil wanted Frank to get a huge billfish, but this was not to happen. Maybe they tried too hard? This is included to tell everyone that not every charter produces trophy fish, despite the cost, the joy of fishing is in the hunt and the catch is incidental.

The MIRAMAR had a great day with a group that was half tourist and half cruise-ship tourist and despite a late start, Captain Bruno managed to make a great day for the group. When finally assembled, the charter produced 6 Dorado and everyone was happy. Believe it or not, the cruise ship party managed to get back on board in time and actually took a few Dorado fillets on board for dinner. Bravo Bruno!
