FINALLY! Here is David, the Dorado Champion of the month with his monster 40 pound Dorado, almost as big as he is. Several hours after this photo was taken, David and Mom and Dad, Kathy and Bill Hickey from Canada enjoyed a feast at the El Dorado restaurant with Phil and Debbie. This family had a great day with Miguel on the SOL and between the 3 of them brought in 5 Dorado. The Sierras were there as well for the Hickey group and they caught their fair share and this produced fantastic ceviche. Hey David, try to talk your sister into visiting next time, we look forward to meeting the entire bunch.

When Linda Riggins woke up in the Marriott hotel on the morning of her family fishing charter and heard the waves crashing on the beach, she and her daughter in law decided to send the men out to sea alone. It could have been a bad day, but everything turned out great with Miguel on the SOL. The seas calmed down and the men caught enough Dorado to exhaust even big guys like them. Hope to see you next year and we hope that the whole family can enjoy fishing with Phil.

This is Victor Fentanes Orozco (left) from the State of Jalisco. VIVA MEXICO! He is a very serious fisherman and tries to spend time each vacation on the ocean. This Christmas he booked the GACELA for his first day and took along his brother-in-law and between them they caught a nice Sailfish, 3 Dorado and a Yellowfin. Victor's second day was on the SOL with Captain Miguel and he caught a very big Yellowfin Tuna using his own very beautiful Penn gear.

Victor's goal is to land a trophy sized Marlin and Phil is going to keep in touch with him and try to get him back to Vallarta when the big billfish are plentiful. Lots of luck Phil, Victor has a 5 month old baby. Great to meet you Victor and I know that we will have many fishing adventures together in the future.

This is Gerry and Bernadine Nelson and their boys from Vulcan, Alberta. They had a great day on the YOLARAY, went out early and caught 2 trophy sized Sailfish, a Yellowfin and finally some pretty spectacular Rooster fish. They decided to have a Sailfish mounted, then decided to have the second one mounted as well. Then the Rooster fish looked good as a candidate for mounting. Gerry thought that since he had 3 sons, then he should mount 3 fish. Phil was a bit worried about Captain Oscar and Deckhand Juan considering that the Bernadines were a family of 5! Hope you guys come back next year, it was wonderful to fish with such a super family!
